Universal Connectivity
The DUO IP/LTE module or the EVL-4CG module now support a UNIVERSAL mode and can connect to nearly any security system to perform basic alarm notification, status functions, arm/disarm control, and have both IP and LTE reporting capability available.
How It Works
Either the DUO or the EVL-4CG can be set in UNIVERSAL mode and in that mode can be used in the following ways:
IP Alarms Only: The EVL-4CG or DUO in Universal mode can be attached to any panel with a Bell or Siren output to send Burg or Fire alarms over IP (get rid of your phone line). This may be the only mode available to some self-contained systems like a 2GIG. They may only have a Siren output and no other outputs.
Add System Status & Control: If you have access to the panel programming and 2 outputs and one input available, then you can attach an UNO4 board to the EVL-4CG or DUO and get System Status and Arm/Disarm control within the App. Most hardwired or hybrid wired/RF panels would fall into the category DSC NEO or Maxsys, Napco, GE, etc . Add Zone Status: You can also see the In-App status of as many as 24 hardwired zones by adding up to 3 UNO8 boards and paralleling each contact circuit (normally closed only) into the UNO8 input as well as the panel input.
